A chalk painted console table finally complete!
I finally managed to get a project completed! I am so excited…
I was getting WAY more painting done before I decided to blog about it. I knew how to repurpose furniture, I did not know how to start a web page but I finally got busy painting out if self defense, I had to do something to sooth my nerves.
I am not a tech person. That has been painfully obvious the last several weeks.
I am however a DIY person and getting working on some projects reminded me why I wanted to start this blog to begin with. I love doing this stuff and I love sharing it with people that love it too.
Several weeks ago, William stopped by a yard sale and brought this table home to me. He thought it was such a unique piece
and he just knew it was the perfect piece to kick off this blog. He was right, I love it.
This is chalk painted in a color called “drop cloth” by Dixie Bell Paints. I love the color and it really shows off the details. I dry brushed the carved areas so that a lot of the dark color in the crevices would show through.
I then painted it with two coats and distressed the edges and wear points. I cleaned it up good and used a paste wax in dark brown to wax over the entire table. I am very pleased with the result.
I hope you like it too.
Please leave a comment telling me what you think or if you have a question about the process.
This piece is now for sale for 165.00 , local pick up only. Email me if you are interested email@example.com.
Hope you enjoyed this post! Stay with me more therapy is on the way!
